The Gunnison River
This is a great trip for any age, any ability. This section is easy class II+ water, with trips lasting from 2 hours to all day. While floating through beautiful scenery your guide will take you through several small rapids and the heart of the Gunnison Valley. Great opportunitites for wildlife viewing and great fishing in its entirety!

The Taylor River
This is Gunnison Country's most popular river adventure. The Taylor River traverses through a wonderful alpine canyon with sheer cliffs and unbeatable scenery, with great whitewater from top to bottom!

The Upper Taylor River is our most popular river adventure! The Upper Taylor is a fast class III+ section with nonstop fun and many great rapids. A great trip for adventurous first timers and experienced paddlers as well. Combine the upper and lower for a great all day trip!

The Middle & Lower Taylor River is rated class II and III with plenty of excitement for rthose who aren't quite ready for the Upper Taylor or need some paddling practice before taking on a greater challenge.

The Lotis Creek section of the Taylor River is continuous class III and IV and is truly a whitewater adventure! Previous paddling experience is required for this section.

The San Miguel River Class III. Closest to Telluride. Beautiful alpine canyons with trips from 2 hours to 3 days.

The Lake Fork River
The Lake Fork River Flows out of Lake City, Colorado and into a spectacular box canyon unparalleled in beauty and then plunges through a wild class IV canyon.

The Upper Lake Fork is rated class II+, which makes it a perfect trip for the family.

The Lower Lake Fork is rated class III and IV+ requiring good physical condition and a sense of adventure, with a minimum age requirement at some water levels.


This river is fed by the natural spring runoff and the rafting season usually ends by mid-summer. Combine both sections for a trip you'll never forget!

The Arkansas River
We offer several different excursions on Colorado's most popular whitewater river.

Brown's Canyon is the most popular section and a family favorite. This is rated class III (class IV at certain water levels) and punctuated by some huge waves and great rapids.

The Royal Gorge traverses under the highest suspension bridge in the country, is rated class IV+, which requires good physical condition and previous paddling experience.

The Numbers section is truly world class whitewater! Rated class IV and V+, previous experience, good physical condition and strong swimming ability are all a must.


Overnight Trips

Escalante & Dominguez Canyons
This is a gorgeous 2 or 3 day, class II+ trip through spectacular sandstone canyons of the lower Gunnison River. Relaxing side canyon hikes to view Indian petroglyphs and panoramic vistas. This is a great trip to combine with our kayak instruction classes!

Ruby & Horse Thief Canyons
A spectacular 2 to 3 day, class II+ trip on the famous Colorado River between Grand Junction, CO and Westwater, UT. Miles of side canyone hiking with spires, arches and swimming holes. Truly a great getaway.

Kayaking
If you're ready for even more adventure, try our A.C.A. certified kayaking classes. We offer beginning to advanced instruction with kayaks, inflatable kayaks and sit on tops — 1/2 to 3 day sessions available. Special youth programs throughout the summer and fall.
